In Memory of Mehmet Ali Unal

Mehmet Ali Ünal was born in 1944 in the town of Güzelsu in Akseki district of Antalya province. He lived in Konya until he completed his high school education. Later, he got into Istanbul State Engineering and Architecture Academy, Civil Engineering Department and graduated in 1970.

M. Ali Ünal, who started his career as a department supervisor in Konya Public Works and Settlement Directorate, completed his military service in Iskenderun between 1971-1972. Between 1974-1975, he served as YSE 7th Regional Manager and since 1976 he has successfully completed many engineering and construction works throughout the country.

Mehmet Ali Ünal was a successful engineer, contractor, industrialist, visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist. Unal, the founder of MAU, served as the Honorary President of the company until his death in 2018.
